GOLF

Fully redesigned and rebuilt in 2016-2017 by golf architect Tom Fazio, The Golf Course at Adare Manor offers the very latest in course technology, and will call itself home to the 2026 Ryder Cup.

We’ve reserved the course on Friday, November 1, and will be holding a shotgun round for wedding guests. If you’d like to play, please register at the link below. The round will be €220/player, plus a caddy fee of €75 (required). Unfortunately, Adare does not offer a double-bag caddie facility, but a forecaddie is available between two golfers using a drive cart.

If you’d like to play Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, or Sunday, please call +353 (0) 61 605 200 to book with Adare Manor directly. Make sure to note that you are with the Flynn/Cunningham wedding for the discounted rate. There is a 30 day cancellation policy.

Alternatively, there are a number of courses within a few hours’ drive of Adare for anyone who would prefer to explore!

 ACTIVITIES

There are a million things to do both within the town of Adare, and just a short drive away. For guests staying at Adare Manor, bikes can be borrowed from the front door of the hotel to explore the Ruins at Desmond Castle, or just to roam the manor grounds! For anyone who wants to try something new, falconry, archery, shooting, and riding can all be booked through Adare Manor. Click here for details & reservations. Shoppers, there are a handful of great spots along the main road. We recommend Catherine McCormack’s for brands like Alessandra Rich and Emilia Wickstead, or Stacpoole’s for an eclectic mix of art and Irish antiques!

Those looking for a massage, mani / pedi, or a blowout, The La Mer Spa at Adare Manor is beautiful. On Saturday, we’ve reserved the Manor Salon for wedding guests, but please note that spots are limited! Alternatively, Velvet Salon in town is just down the block from the Dunraven Arms Hotel, and comes highly recommended.

Please note that guests who are not staying at Adare Manor will need a reservation (either for breakfast, tea, the spa, etc.) to visit the grounds. This of course excludes Friday night’s party!

For those planning a day trip from Adare, some of our favorite places to visit just a short drive away include…

  • The Cliffs of Moher (1:20hrs)

  • Galway City (1:20hrs)

  • Connemara National Park & Kylemore Abbey (2:30hrs)

  • The Shrine at Knock (1:45hrs)
